BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Villanova men's cross country team, led by senior Bobby Curtis and freshman Ben Guest, edged a talented Princeton squad by four overall points to secure a trip to the NCAA finals in Terre Haute, Ind. on Monday, Nov 19. The Wildcats will be joined by the Hoyas of Georgetown, who out ran all opponents to seal a first place victory.

"We ran extremely well today," says Villanova head coach Marcus O'Sullivan. "Curtis ran another terrific race, while Guest ran an outstanding final 600m to give us the second place finish."

Curtis turned in yet another solid performance as he placed first overall over the 10k course on Lehigh's Goodman Campus, marking the second individual victory for Curtis on this particular course this season. Along with Curtis, freshman Guest swung the race in favor of Villanova to bring the Wildcats to a second place victory with 70 points. With 600m left in the race, Villanova sat three points behind third-place finisher Princeton. At this point, Guest managed to pass seven opponents to place sixth amongst the competition, giving the Wildcats the necessary four-point edge.
