VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova women's cross country team is ranked No. 13 in the latest USTFCCCA Women's Coaches Poll, released on Tuesday afternoon.

The Wildcats enter the poll for the first time this season after previously receiving votes. In the Paul Short Run on Friday, Oct. 3, Villanova finished second behind West Virginia, but beat three ranked teams as Baylor was then-No. 16, Wisconsin was No. 12 and Tennessee was ranked 29th. Washington jumped to No. 1 in front of Oregon, who is now ranked 2nd in the current poll.

The men's cross country squad finished third last week at the Paul Short Run, but fell from No. 25 to No. 28 in the coaches' poll.

The Wildcats will be back in action in the Penn State National Meet, held in State College, Pa. on Oct. 17.
