Terre Haute, In. - The Wildcat men's cross-country team ran strong when they participated in the Indiana State Invitational this past weekend. The meet, held on October 5, featured 20 of the top teams in the nation, with Villanova finishing in sixth place overall. The 'Cats entered the meet ranked eighth in the country, based on the United States Cross Country Coaches Association, but were out ran by three other teams in the top 25. The first place spot was taken by #12 Colorado State followed by #17 Indiana and #22 Butler, respectively.

'Nova was led by Senior Jon Fasulo who posted a time of 24:58.3; which was good for 13th place. Also finishing in the top 35 runners were Wildcat's Thomas Parlapiano, Miles Mitric, and Patrick Dunn. The field consisted of 178 runners and no Villanova runner finished higher than 102, which was good enough for their sixth place finish.

Next up for the Villanova men's cross-country team is a Big East meet, that is to be held in Boston on November 1. This is the last meet prior to the NCAA Regionals (Nov. 16) and Championships (Nov. 25) for the Wildcats to fine tune their times in actual competition. The NCAA Championships are going to be held at the Indiana State course where the Wildcats should feel familiar following the past race.
