HAVERFORD, PA. - On Tuesday, Oct. 5, the Villanova men and women's cross country teams competed at the Main Line Invitational held at Haverford College. The Wildcat men competed in a four-mile race, while the Villanova women ran in a 6K. For the men's team, six Wildcats placed in the top 10. In the women's race, five Villanova runners finished in the top 10.

For the Villanova men, Sam Pawluk, Kippy Keino, Bobby Curtis, Marc Pelerin took the first four spots in the race, finishing in 19:37. In addition, David Van Orsdel placed seventh (19:57) and Craig Segal finished eighth (19:58).

For the Wildcat women, Kirsty Smith finished first in the race in 20:41. Other top finishers for Villanova included Colleen Taylor in second (20:49), Frances Koons in third (20:57), Liz Gesel in fourth (21:09), and Bridget Akard in sixth (21:38).
