VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova men's and women's cross country teams both ran strong races at the Annual Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University. The women ran a 6K Friday morning, while the men ran an 8K.

The women's squad finished in second place using a total team effort on the course. Senior Frances Koons was the Wildcats' top finisher as she crossed the line in 20:15 for seventh place. Right behind her was freshman Bogdana Mimic who ran the course in 20:16 and finished in eighth place.
