Neutts was individual runner-up to lead group of Villanova runners in local meet
A gifted athlete with tremendous potential, Smith had an award-winning freshman year and consistently finished in the team's strong top 7 as a sophomore. After redshirting the outdoor track season, she is looking forward to racing again with her teammates this cross country season and is expected to play a big role on the Wildcat squad.
Villanova: 2008 - She started off her sophomore season with a 21st place finish at the Old Nassau Run in Princeton. At the Paul Short Invitational where the Wildcats took 2nd as a team, Smith finished 31st. After her 137th place finish at the Pre-NCAA meet, Smith bounced back with her 24th place finish at the Big East Championships where the Wildcats claimed the team title. At the Mid-Atlantic Regionals, Smith placed 35th as the squad took 3rd overall. Rounding out her sophomore year, Smith finished 220th as the Wildcats claimed 6th overall.
2007 - Began her freshman campaign by winning the Delaware Invitational and serving as the team's 2nd runner at the Paul Short Invitational with her 68th place finish. She went on to finish 52nd at the Penn State Invitational and 40th at the Big East Championships. Smith stepped up her game at the NCAA Mid Atlantic Regionals where she was the 2nd runner for the Wildcats finishing an impressive 20th garnering All-Region Honors. Smith capped off the season with a 5th place finish at the ECAC Championships to help the team capture the title.
