Sophomore (2008): Placed 5th at the Big East Cross Country Championships, leading the Wildcats to a 3rd place team finish. Then went on to place 16th at the NCAA Mid Atlantic Regionals, where the team again placed 3rd - and qualified for the NCAA Championships. Freshman (2007): Did not participate in Cross Country until regionals, where he came in the top 10. Ben then finished 101st at nationals - which placed him 7th overall freshman. Redshirted indoor and outdoor season. High School: Australian U/18 Cross country champion. Australian U/18 and U/20 Mountain running champion. Placed 11th at 2005 world mountain running championships in New Zealand, also placed 12th at the 2007 world mountain running championships held in Switzerland.
