Wildcats Honored at Halftime of Football Game for Academic Success

Men's Cross Country won the Nnenna Lynch Award for 2010-11 academic year

Sophomore (2008): Was Villanova's top runner at the NCAA Championships, placing 71st overall. Finished a close 2nd at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet. Also helped the Wildcats finish 3rd at the Big East Championships with his 6th place individual finish. Was the team's top runner at the Penn State National and Paul Short Invitational -where he set a personal best 24:00 for 8000m.

Freshman (2007): Ran early on in the cross country season then redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons. Focused instead on the World Cross Country Championships in Scotland where he placed 46th.

High School:Won the New Zealand high school cross country championships. Was also winner of the New Zealand high school 3000m and 2000m steeplechase titles. Won New Zealand U20 5000m. Ran 4:12 in the mile, 8:25 in the 3000m. Coached by Alec McNabb.

Personal: Born 18 January 1989 in Hastings, New Zealand. Grew up on a sheep and beef farm with parents Josi and Simon and his three siblings Lucinda, Evie and Geordie. Majoring in civil engineering.
