VILLANOVA, PA. - On Wednesday, Jan. 1, the Villanova swimming & diving team will travel to Puerto Rico for its annual Christmas break training. The trip will serve as a training camp for both the Wildcat swimmers and divers.

The training site for Villanova in Puerto Rico will be the Capparra Country Club Aquatic Facility. The athletes will go through a rigorous program that will include two in-water training sessions per day, a daily aerobic dry-land session, and several weight training sessions.

The Wildcats will also compete in the San Juan Big East Relay Invitational with St. John's, Seton Hall, Georgetown, and Boston College.

"This is a great opportunity for our athletes to focus 100% on training," said head coach Rick Simpson. "Many athletes will take themselves to a new level of training that they may never have experienced before. This is also a great team bonding opportunity as we spend 9 days together as a group, helping one another achieve our training goals, while still taking time to enjoy the fun and the sun."
