Baltimore, Md. - The Wildcats traveled to Loyola this weekend where they participated in the H2ounds Invitational. They fell to Delaware (294-76), Loyola College (285-85) and Marist (271-94). Villanova received strong performances through the weekend despite the loss, including two fifth place finishes by freshman Ted Sukramani (Washington, D.C.).

Sukramani finished with a time of 4:19.04 in the 400 IM, brining home 5th place. For another 5th place finish, Sukramani had a time of 2:14.26 in the 200 breaststroke.

Senior Bill Sepich (Ocean City, N.J.) saw success in the 100 butterfly as he finished in 6th place with a time of 53.07. Sepich also brought home 9th place in the 100 backstroke after swimming a time of 56.99.

Villanova saw another strong performance from sophomore Justin Stephens (Bloomsburg, Pa.) who finished 6th in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.43). He also finished just behind Sukramani in the 200 breast, in 7th place with a time of 2:17.53.

In the diving events, junior James Styles (Staten Island, N.Y.) led the Wildcats in both competitions. In the 1 meter, Styles recorded a score of 179.40, bring home 7th place. Styles' score of 178.95 in the 3 meter was good for a 6th place finish.

Next up, the Wildcats will host Widener on December 12th at Villanova University.
