The Villanova women’s swimming and diving team defeated West Virginia by a score of 147-96 at the Pavilion on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the women’s team moves to 7-2 in dual meets on the year.
The Villanova swimming and diving program will host West Virginia on Saturday afternoon at the Pavilion in a dual meet that begins at 12:30 p.m. The diving events will start the meet, followed by the swimming events.
The Villanova women’s swimming and diving team defeated Richmond on Friday afternoon at the Pavilion by a score of 187-110. The Wildcats are now 6-2 in dual meets this season
The Villanova women’s swimming and diving team returns home on Friday, Jan. 20 to face Richmond in a meet that will begin at 2 p.m. The Wildcats haven’t competed in the Pavilion since a home meet on Nov. 12 against Penn.
Villanova freshman Andrew Kelley (Belmont, Mass.) was named the BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Male Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career, as announced by the conference in a press release this afternoon. He earned the award for his performance against Providence on Saturday.
The Villanova men’s swimming and diving team picked up its second straight win in a BIG EAST dual meet against Providence on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats won the meet by a score of 130-68 and took the top spot in nine of the 11 events.
Despite a good showing in many events, the Villanova women’s swimming and diving team was edged by Princeton 162-138 in a dual meet on Friday.
Villanova's swimming and diving teams will be on the road this weekend for a pair of dual meets. The women’s team travels to Princeton on Friday for a meet that begins at 3:30 p.m., while the men’s team heads to Providence on Saturday for a BIG EAST matchup at 12 p.m.
