NEW YORK, N.Y.— Villanova Women’s Swimming member Darby Goodwin was honored per news release, for the notable performance this past weekend by the BIG EAST Conference. This is the first BIG EAST honor for Goodwin.
The Women’s Swim team traveled to Philadelphia, Pa. last Friday and Saturday to compete in the Philadelphia Relays. Goodwin swam four events which included the 200 Medley Relay, 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, and the 100 butterfly. She swam to a Drexel Pool record in the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.61 and in the 200 backstroke in a time of 2:01.43. Goodwin also notched a first-place finish in the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.30.
She also helped the Wildcats 200 Medley Relay team touch the wall first. They finished in a time of 1:45.13 while her split time was 26.33.
Up next, both the Men’s and Women’s squads will travel to Rutgers to compete in a quad meet. The meet is set for Nov. 3 and Nov. 4 in Piscataway, N.J.
