Swimming & Diving Announces 2017-18 Schedule

2017-18 Schedule 

Head coach Rick Simpson and his staff have announced the 2017-18 swimming & diving schedule. 

“We are very excited about the upcoming competitive schedule,” stated Simpson.  “As always, it will provide our athletes with a healthy combination of challenges from out-of-conference schools from the ACC, BIG 10 and BIG 12 and AAC and Ivy League. And several key matchups with historical in-conference rival.”

Villanova will begin the season with the Philadelphia Relays that will also feature La Salle, Drexel, and Penn.  La Salle will host the first day on October 20th beginning at 5 p.m. and Drexel will host the final day, the 21st, starting at 1 pm.

Friday, November 3rd and Saturday the 4th the Wildcats will travel to the Rutgers Quad meet that will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.  The following weekend Villanova will travel to Philadelphia to take on the Penn Quakers on November 11th.  The final meet before winter break will be the Big Al Princeton Invitational from December 1-3. 

Men’s swimming & diving will travel to the United State Merchant Marines on January 6th to kick off the new year.  The next weekend the women’s will host Princeton on the 12th and the men will host Providence at noon the following day. 

The Wildcats will then host UConn for a men’s and women’s meet on January 19th and the next day will host Ursinus inside the Villanova aquatic center.  Villanova women’s swimming & diving will travel to Richmond on January 26th and the next day will head to West Virginia for a meet against the Mountaineers and Iowa State. The men’s team will travel to West Virginia as well on January 27th and will face the Mountaineers. 


 

 

To kick off February, Villanova will host its annual Sprint Fest on the 3rd and will end the month at the BIG EAST Tournament from the 21-24 in Geneva, Ohio.
