PRINCETON, N.J. - On Sunday, Dec. 8, in Princeton, N.J., the Villanova swimming & diving team completed competition in the third and final day of the 2002 Princeton Invitational. The Wildcats finished third in the overall standings with 969.5 points, with the women placing third (696.5) and the men finishing fifth (273).

Princeton won the combined points finishing with 2,448.4, followed by Rutgers (1,344.5) and Villanova (969.5). On the women's side, Princeton placed first (1,127), with Rutgers in second (741) and the Wildcats placing third (696.5). In men's competition, Princeton (1,321.5) again placed first followed by Rutgers (603.5), St. John's (527.5), American (420), and Villanova (273) rounding out the top five.
