PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Villanova women's swimming & diving team earned 732 team points at the Frank Elm Invitational over the weekend at Rutgers.

The Wildcats finished seventh at the meet while Columbia finished first with 1,378.50 points.

Sophomore Kaisla Kollanus, sophomore Fiona Hardie, junior Katrin Heider and junior Sara Jurek started finals off strong with a seventh place finish in the 200 freestyle relay with a final time of 1:39.02.

Freshman Emily Mayo placed fourth in the 500 freestyle with a 4:59.35, more than a four-second improvement from her preliminary time.

On Saturday, Hardie finished eighth in the 100 butterfly with a 57.45. Heider placed third in the 200 freestyle (1:51.22).

Heider, Jurek and freshmen Emily Mayo and Jessica Randolph earned the team's first top finish with a time of 7:31.03 in the 800 freestyle relay.

Heider, Mayo, Jurek and Randolph combined again for a second-place time of 3:29.81 in the 400 freestyle relay Sunday.

The Wildcats will compete in the Big Al Invite at Princeton Dec. 6-8 for their last meet of 2013.
