INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - From April 1-5, Villanova University swimmers Maddy Crippen, Rebecca Koch and Victoria Delollo were in Indianapolis, Ind., competing at the 2003 ConocoPhillips Spring National Championships. Crippen and Koch both posted finals appearances, with Crippen placing 23rd in the 200m individual medley and Koch finishing 19th in the 400m freestyle and 43rd in the 800m freestyle.

Crippen swam in just one event in the meet - the 200m I.M. - as she was slated to also compete for the United States in Sunday's Duel in the Pool against Australia. In the prelims of the 200 I.M., she swam a time of 2:21.56 to finish 23rd. She would go on to swim a 2:21.02 in the finals of the 200 I.M. on Saturday to place 23rd.

Koch competed in five event over the five-day meet - the 100 butterfly, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 400 freestyle and 800 freestyle. Her top finish came in the 400 freestyle, as she placed 19th in the finals of the event (4:17.76) after a 25th place performance in the prelims (4:19.87). Koch also swam in the finals of the 800 freestyle, finishing 43rd in 8:59.16. Other finishes for Koch included 39th place in the prelims of the 100 freestyle (58.15), 25th place in the prelims of the 200 freestyle (2:04.38), and a 30th place prelims performance in the 100 fly (1:02.70).

Delollo swam in both the 100 and 200m backstroke events in the meet. She placed 47th in the preliminaries of the 200 backstroke (2:22.47), and 53rd in the prelims of the 100 back (1:06.69).
