PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Sophomore Sarah Czar (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) has the leading time out of 35 swimmers in the 200 yard freestyle at the ECAC Championships being held at Trees Pool at the University of Pittsburgh.

In preliminary heats on Saturday morning, Czar swam a time of 1:52.24 in her section to register a time that was 0.73 seconds faster than Erin Crowley of Central Connecticut. This morning's event began a second straight weekend in which Czar has posted a strong showing in the 200 free event.

Last weekend at the BIG EAST Championships in East Meadow, N.Y., Czar finished second in the finals of the event with a time of 1:48.98 to account for the highest finish by any Villanova swimmer at the conference meet.

Czar was set to swim in the finals of the 200 yard freestyle on Saturday night. Her result from that race will be available later this evening.
