Fourth SeasonBack at the helm of the Wildcat diving team is assistant coach Chris Blair, who returns for his fourth season on the Main Line in 1997. Blair arrived at Villanova in 1994, after a stint at St. Bonaventure University in New York. At St. Bonaventure, he served as the diving coach while earning his MBA in Finance. He achieved almost immediate success helping guide one of his divers to both Division I All-America and Academic All-America honors. Blair was also a successful collegiate diver himself at the University of Pittsburgh. In 1988, he was the Big East Champion in the three meter dive, while earning Outstanding Diver honors. That same year, Blair was an NCAA and Senior National semifinalist and the University of Pittsburgh Blue Gold Award winner (Scholar Athlete). At the end of his collegiate career, Blair was awarded one of six Big East post-graduate scholarships. Blair, who spent the summers from 1988-93 diving professionally, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1988 with a double major in Business Administration and Communication & Rhetoric. He and his wife, Amy currently reside in Florence, N.J.
