100 Backstroke - 51.78 (2011 BIG EAST Championships)
2010-11: Established new personal bests in each of his events during the season, including three top times at the BIG EAST Championships ... His times of 51.78 and 1:52.18 in the 100 and 200 yard backstroke at the conference meet were both the fastest on the team for the season ... Also set a personal best of 52.37 in the 100 butterfly at the BIG EAST meet ... Notched a personal best time of 21.69 in the 50 freestyle at the Terrapin Cup Invitational ... In a dual meet against Seton Hall came in first in the 100 back (54.16) and second in the 200 back (2:00.23) ... Also won those two events while also finishing second in the 100 fly at the BIG EAST Last Chance Invitational ... Placed third in the 200 back versus La Salle and Syracuse in the season opener and third in the 100 fly against Connecticut and Georgetown; RELAYS: Anchored the Wildcats 400 yard freestyle relay entry at the BIG EAST Championships and also led off the 200 and 400 medley relays ... Helped lead the team to a season-best time of 3:29.26 in the 400 medley at the conference meet ... Was a part of the winning quartet in the 400 free relay and the 200 medley relay against Connecticut and Georgetown.
New Trier High School: Received four varsity letters in swimming and two in baseball ... Three-time all-conference selection who also earned all-state and All-America honors ... Named an NISCA Academic All-American.
Personal: Born 5/28/92 in Evanston, Ill. ... Oldest of four children of Doug and Debbie Grant ... Has three younger siblings, Lauren (17), Alex (14) and Michael (11) ... Plans to major in Business and would one day like to work in the Sports Marketing field ... Chose to attend Villanova because of the swim team and the University's strong academic reputation ...
