2016-17: Named to the All-BIG EAST Team as part of the 200-yard freestyle relay and 200-yard medley relay at the BIG EAST Championships…Swam in three individual events at the BIG EAST Championships…Placed fifth in the “B” final and 13th overall in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.21 (21.05 in prelims) at the meet…Finished fourth in the “B” final and 12th overall in the 100-yard freestyle, touching the wall at 45.99 (45.89 in prelims)…Had an eighth place finish in the “B” final and 16th place finish overall in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 51.34 (51.07 in prelims)…Helped the 200-yard medley (1:29.26) and 200-yard freestyle (1:21.18) teams set school records at the BIG EAST Championships…Competed in freestyle, backstroke, and butterfly events during the season.

Hershey High School: Four-year varsity letter winner in swimming and track...Swam under coach Greg Fastrich...Named Most Outstanding Athlete...Earned NISCA All-American honors in 2015-16...Named All-State for his performance in the 50 free in 2015-16...Member of the 200 free team that earned All-American honors in the 200 free relay in 2014-15.

Personal: Son of Alan and Jennifer Paynter...Father played football at Kutztown University...Mother played field hockey at Kutztown University...Brother to Jaren and Maliyah...Major is undecided but he has the goal of becoming a sports agent...Enjoys reading, running and playing video games...Avid fan of the New England Patriots...Chose Villanova because it was a great school that had a great swimming and diving program.
