Villanova Falls To Penn State, Senior Day Set For Saturday
The Villanova swimming and diving teams fell to Penn State on Friday afternoon at the Pavilion. The women’s team was defeated by a score of 177-86, and the men’s team lost 186-78.
Villanova Closes Regular Season With Busy Weekend
The Villanova swimming and diving program will close out the regular season this weekend with meets on Friday and Saturday. The Wildcats will square off with Penn State on Friday, Feb. 3 at the Pavilion, before hosting La Salle in the Nova Sprint Festival on Saturday, Feb. 4.
Darby Goodwin Wins Final BIG EAST Athlete Of The Week Award
Villanova sophomore Darby Goodwin (Jupiter, Fla.) was named the BIG EAST Female Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week, as announced in the conference’s press release this afternoon. Jake Hoin (Fairfield, Conn.), a junior on the men’s team, was named a notable performer for the week.
Villanova Women Down West Virginia, Men Fall to Mountaineers
The Villanova women’s swimming and diving team defeated West Virginia by a score of 147-96 at the Pavilion on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the women’s team moves to 7-2 in dual meets on the year.
Villanova Set To Host West Virginia On Saturday
The Villanova swimming and diving program will host West Virginia on Saturday afternoon at the Pavilion in a dual meet that begins at 12:30 p.m. The diving events will start the meet, followed by the swimming events.
