Villanova Men's 4xMile Team Third at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, PA. - On Saturday, April 27, at the Penn Relays, the Villanova men's 4xMile Team finished in third place, crossing the finish line in a time of 16:20.83. Arkansas won the Penn Relay title in the 4xMile with a time of 16:09.8. Winding down the top five was Stanford in second place (16:17.05), Villanova in third, Avilene Christian in fourth (16:38.30) and Iona in fifth (16:39.38). The Wildcats' third place finish comes one year after the 4xMile squad placed second at the 2001 Penn Relays. Running the four legs for the Villanova 4xMile team were Jason Jabaut, Tom Parlapiano, Ryan Hayden and Adrian Blincoe. Parlapiano ran the best leg of the afternoon for the Wildcats with a time of 4:01.32. Also competing on Saturday for Villanova was junior Nic O'Brien who placed third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 51.23. |
