Philadelphia, Pa.- On Thursday, April 24, in the 109th running of the Penn Relays held at Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania, the Villanova University women's distance medley relay team took third place overall with a time of 11:12.04. North Carolina won the event with a time of 10:56.68.

Junior Rebecca Mitchell ran the 1200 meter leg and finished with a split of 3:27.3. Tricia Taylor came on to run a 57.4 in the 400 leg, and Colleen Taylor went a 2:10.2 in the 800 meter. Marina Muncan anchored the team with a 4:36.40 in the 1600 meter, giving the Wildcats a third place finish.

The Villanova women's 4 x 1500 meter relay team runs tomorrow at 12:50, while the men's DMR is set for a 3:30 start.
