Returning for his eighth season as the Wildcat's Football athletic trainer is Tyler Waite. Tyler coordinates all aspects of healthcare for the Football student-athletes including: prevention, recognition, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of all athletic injury and illness. Additionally, he serves as the golf team's athletic trainer.
Tyler came to Villanova from the United States Military Academy where he worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer with Football from 2008-09. Prior to his stint at West Point, he served as the 2007 year-long athletic training intern with the NFL's Buffalo Bills. Before the Bills experience, he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Oregon State University from 2005-07 where his primary responsibilities were with the Football and Women's Golf programs. Tyler also worked with the Oregon State Baseball and Women's Basketball programs during that time.
Tyler earned his Bachelor of Science degree Cum Laude in Athletic Training from The Ohio State University in 2005. He also earned a Master of Science degree in Sports Medicine from Oregon State University in 2007.
Tyler, a Board Certified member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), is licensed by the State of Pennsylvania and resides in West Chester, Pa. with his wife Stephanie.
