Multiple teams of Wildcats are in the holiday spirit after some Christmastime volunteering
Allison Venella begins her second year as Coordinator of Student Services for the Villanova Athletics Department. She graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Business in May of 2008. Allison held two internship positions within the athletic department at Villanova before becoming full-time. Her main focus as Coordinator of Student Services is the well-being and development-of of Villanova's student-athletes. She is currently enrolled as a student in the Master of Public Administration Program at Villanova University.
She is in charge of the department's Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), a student-athlete group made up of two or more representatives from each varsity supported team. She is the coordinator for Villanova's NCAA Life Skills & Student-Athlete Affairs programs which includes development and programming in the areas of: leadership, career development, personal development and community service.
Allison plans and executes both personal and career development educational programs for the student-athletes during their time at Villanova. Allison is also the athletics department main contact for coordinating all community service events. Some of the main events Villanova University student-athlete participates in annually include: Villanova University's St. Thomas of Villanova Day of Service, Villanova University's Special Olympics Fall Festival, an Adopt-a-Family program during the holidays, and work with the each one counts Foundation.
