Goalie Sarah Wiggin tallied 12 saves for her third shutout of the season. Next Game: 10/7 at Drexel at 3:30 p.m. Football:Overall Record 4-0 10/4: Beat James Madison 49-17 Wide receiver Brian Finneran broke Villanova's all-time career reception record and all-time career yardage mark against James Madison. In the game he caught nine passes for 144 yards and four touchdowns. Next game: 10/11 vs. Massachusetts at 1 pm. Golf:Finished 6th at the Big East Championships (Sept. 28-29) Steve Horky shot a two-day 77-77 for a 154 to place him in an eighth place tie, as he helped lead the Wildcats to a sixth place finish. Finished 5th at the Walter McLaughlin Invitational (Oct. 3-4) Chris Parlow shot a 73-70 for a two-day total of 170 to lead the Wildcats. Next outing: Oct. 17-18 Stabler Invitational Men's Soccer:Overall Record: 4-4-3 Big East: 2-2-2 10/1: Beat Marist 4-1 Senior Barry Smith had two goals to lead the Wildcats. Freshman goalie J.D. Allen, making his first collegiate start, had six saves. 10/4: Lost to Georgetown 5-0. Volleyball:Overall Record: 12-5 Big East: 2-0 10/3: Beat West Virginia 3-0 (15-8, 15-11, 15-10) Junior Elizabeth Jones had 14 kills and 23 digs. 10/5: Beat Pittsburgh 3-2 (9-15, 12-15, 15-10, 15-6, 15-12) Senior Stacy Evans became only the third Villanova player ever to reach the 1,500 kill milestone and finished the match with 18 kills to help the Wildcats came back from a 2-0 deficit.
