Former Villanova student-athlete Dr. Michael Duncan joined the university is the summer of 2012 and serves as the Head Team Physician at Villanova University.
Dr. Duncan graduated Summa Cum Laude from Villanova, where he majored in biology, minored in business and played baseball for the Wildcats. After earning his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, he completed his residency at the Bryn Mawr Family Practice Residency Program at Bryn Mawr Hospital. He completed his primary care sports medicine fellowship through Drexel University Sports Medicine fellowship program associated with Hahnemann University Hospital. While at Drexel University, he served as assistant team physician for two Division I universities, one Division II university and two Philadelphia area high schools.
He is an active member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, American Academy of Family Physicians and Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians.
