Gordon Finch begins his eighth year at Villanova University in 2010-11. He is the Associate AD/Compliance & Student Services and oversees all matters pertaining to compliance with National Collegiate Athletics Association rules and regulations. Finch will also begin his first year as the head of the Athletic Department's student services office. Finch arrived at Villanova from the University of Connecticut, where he served in a similar capacity from March, 2002 to August, 2004.

Among his responsibilities were coordination and implementation of all aspects of compliance systems, the development and implementation of rules education for staff members and outside constituents regarding Big East and NCAA legislation. Prior to his tenure at Connecticut, Finch spent four years serving as a Membership Services Representative for the NCAA at its Indianapolis and Kansas City offices.

Finch received a J.D. degree in 1994 from the University of Iowa College of Law. His areas of specialization included litigation, corporate, criminal and family law. He also holds a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Science Degrees from the University of Iowa. Finch spent two years as a law clerk for the Honorable Douglas L. Richards in Faribault County, Minnesota. As an undergraduate athlete, Finch was a track & field standout at Iowa, where he owned the school record in the triple jump from 1988-90.
