VILLANOVA, Pa.--Some of the top track & field athletes in the nation will take center stage at Villanova Stadium this week, where Villanova will be hosting the BIG EAST Championships for the fifth time in the past eight years. This is the 24th time overall that the Wildcats will host the conference meet. Eight women's teams and seven men's teams will compete on Friday and Saturday, and Villanova will be looking to defend both its men's and women's titles from last year.

Tickets to the BIG EAST Championships can be purchased at the Villanova Stadium ticket windows on Friday and Saturday throughout the day. Tickets cost $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children (ages 5-18) and senior citizens. Admission is free for children under the age of five, as well as for college students with a valid student ID from any BIG EAST member school.

Fans can also watch all of the action at this year's championships live on the BIG EAST Digital Network by accessing the Fox Sports GO app from a computer, tablet or other mobile device. The action begins with the multi events at 10 a.m. both Friday and Saturday, with field events and the running events on the track scheduled for later in the day. Villanova has won nine outdoor conference titles on the women's side and six conference championships on the men's side. Both of the Wildcats teams were conference champions last year.
