Villanova Stadium West End Zone Project
The Villanova Stadium West End Zone Project will further develop our student-athletes by supplying a state-of-the-art athletic training center within one centralized location. A Hall of Fame room, meeting rooms, 100-seat theater for team meetings and film sessions, academic support meeting space and a reception area for advancement events which includes balconies overlooking the Villanova Stadium playing field will all be housed here. For our championship football program, it will become their home. The football office suite and positional meeting rooms along with the rest of the amenities will make this the premier operations facility at the Football Championship Subdivision level.
A facility of this magnitude will provide a recruiting advantage over our peers to all 24 varsity programs.
Just before construction began, it was announced that the University received a $1 million commitment from alumni Diane T. and Howard M. Long-NFL Hall of Famer and Fox Sports analyst-as part of the University's $600 million Comprehensive Capital Campaign, "For the Greater Great®: The Villanova Campaign to Ignite Change." In recognition of their gift, the University will name a new weight room "The Howie Long Strength Training Center." We're still looking for donors to help us reach the $18 million project cost.
