Baseball Drops Saturday Matinee to St. John's, 10-7
The Villanova baseball team (15-22, 3-5 BIG EAST) dropped its Saturday matinee, 10-7, to St. John's (24-13, 8-2 BIG EAST) as the Red Storm clinched the series. The two squads will close out the series tomorrow, Sunday, April 26 at 1 p.m. from Jack Kaiser Stadium in Queens, N.Y.

Wildcats Place Second in Close Finish to Distance Medley Relay at Penn Relays
In the final lap of the Championship of America distance medley relay, Villanova and Oregon pulled away from the rest of the field in a thrilling head-to-head finish. Junior Jordy Williamsz (Melbourne, Australia) ran the fastest anchor leg of any team in the race and the Wildcats finished second in the relay with a time of 9:34.36. Williamsz produced a split of 3:58.94 for the final 1600 meters of the relay and Villanova came in just a half-second behind Oregon.
Water Polo Competes in MAAC Semi-Finals
In the semi-finals of the MAAC tournament the Villanova Wildcats took on the Marist Red Foxes to determine who would go on to face the Wagner Seahawks in the MAAC Championship game. The Red Foxes came out on top by a score of 15-9, which means the Wildcats will now play in the consolation game tomorrow against the Iona Gaels.
Comeback Effort Falls Short against DePaul
In the first game of a weekend conference series against the DePaul Blue Demons, the Wildcats fells to DePaul 3-1 in game one of Saturday's doubleheader. With the loss the Wildcats fall to 22-25, 8-8 BIG EAST and the Blue Demons improved to 18-21, 9-3 BIG EAST. The Wildcats were able to load the bases in the bottom of the seventh inning in a comeback bid but were unable to drive in the runs needed to extend the game.
Golf Heads to South Carolina for the BIG EAST Championships
The Villanova golf team heads to Okatie, S.C. for the three-day, 54-hole BIG EAST Men's Golf Championships from Sunday, April 26 through Tues., April 27.
Villanova Looks to Battle UConn for No. 3 Seed in BIG EAST Tourney
The Villanova women's lacrosse team (9-6, 4-2 BIG EAST) is set to wrap up the 2015 regular season as the Wildcats are set to have the best season in program history. After Saturday's match, Nova could be either the No. 3 or the No. 4 seed depending on the outcome against the UConn Huskies ( 9-6, 4-2 BIG EAST). Head Coach Julie Young and her squad have already officially punched their postseason ticket while the Huskies will be fighting to keep their postseason dreams alive.
Women's Tennis Beats Creighton in Backdraw in Season Finale
In the back-draw of the BIG EAST Tournament the Villanova Wildcats played their last match of the season versus the Creighton Bluejays in Indianapolis, Ind. and won by a score of 4-3. With that, the Villanova women's tennis team has concluded its 2015 spring season.
