Slade and Feagans Win Events at Villanova Invitational
Sophomore Elliot Slade (Cardiff, United Kingdom) and freshman Pearson Feagans (Dallas, Texas) each won their events at the Villanova Invitational on Saturday night. The meet at Ocean Breeze Track & Field Athletic Complex was highlighted by those two victories and several personal best efforts recorded by the Wildcats, who finished in sixth place as a team. Slade was the winner in the 800 meters and Feagans came in first in the long jump.
Women's Swimming Defeats LIU-Brooklyn on Senior Day
The Villanova women's swimming and diving team soundly defeated the LIU-Brooklyn Blackbirds by a 212-40 margin Sunday on Senior Day. Before the meet, Villanova honored its three graduating seniors Hayden Bumgardner, Fiona Hardie, and Kaisla Kollanus.

Villanova will play host to the Marquette Golden Eagles on Sunday, Feb. 7. The Wildcats enter play 14-9 overall and 7-5 in Big East play, while the Golden Eagles are 11-12 overall and 6-6 in league action.

Former Villanova Wildcat defensive end Rakim Cox has tasted championship success before in his football career. Cox, who is a defensive end on the Carolina Panthers practice squad, was a true freshman on the 2009 Villanova Football team that won the FCS National Championship.
Swimming and Diving Drops Dual Meet at Penn State
- The Villanova men's and women's swimming and diving teams traveled to Happy Valley Saturday afternoon for dual meet against the Penn State Nittany Lions. The men were defeated by PSU 151-104 while the women dropped their decision to No. 21 Penn State by a 153-125 margin.
No. 3 Villanova Defeats No. 11 Providence On The Road, 72-60
Darryl Reynolds had 19 points and 10 rebounds and third-ranked Villanova held off a late rally to defeat No. 11 Providence 72-60 on Saturday. The win avenges Villanova's overtime loss at home to the Friars last month, its lone Big East loss this season. Ryan Arcidiacono added 16 points to help the Wildcats (20-3, 10-1) earn their 12th victory in 13 games. Villanova led by as many as 17 in the second half before seeing its lead cut all the way to four with 2:59 to play on a 3-pointer by Ben Bentil.
A Visit to No. 11 Providence Up Next for Wildcats
