Wildcats Edged by Chicago State, 3-2, in 11 Innings
An unearned run in the top of the 11th inning was the slim difference in a game where the teams battled the elements as much as each other. Villanova (2-6) tied the game in the bottom of the 10th inning as black storm clouds moved in but eventually lost by a 3-2 score an inning later at North Charlotte Regional Park on Saturday afternoon. Rain delays in the top of the fifth inning and the bottom of the 10th totaled 77 minutes and light rain persisted as the marathon game finally ended.
Water Polo Complete Second Day of Cal Lutheran Invitational
In the second of the three days in the Cal Lutheran Invitational the Wildcats played against both Fresno Pacific and La Verne. Villanvoa beat Fresno Pacific by a score of 6-5 and La Verne 14-6.
Day Two of USF Under Armour Invitational Washed Out
The Wildcats two originally scheduled games for today, against UIC at 12:15 and against Georgia State at 2:45, have been canceled due to non-stop rain.

Caroline Coyer tied a career-high with 28 points to lead Villanova to a 71-62 home win over the Providence College Friars.
`Cats Produce Highest Run Total of Season in 6-2 Win over FGCU
In the second game in the first day of the University of South Florida Under Armour Invitational the Wildcats got back to their winning ways over the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles in their 6-2 victory. The six runs marked the highest amount Villanova has scored all season. Interestingly enough, this marks the second straight game the Wildcats have played a team with the Eagles for a nickname, Eastern Michigan and Florida Gulf Coast.
Villanova Plays Close Matchup with Eastern Michigan
In the opening game of the University of South Florida's Under Armour Invitational the Villanova Wildcats faced off against the Eastern Michigan Eagles. Although the `Cats couldn't grab the victory, the game was competitive throughout and the first Eagles runs didn't come until the sixth inning of the game. The final score was 3-1 Eastern Michigan.
Villanova Splits Matches in Cal Lutheran Invitational
The Wildcats began their three-day weekend at the Cal Lutheran Invitational in Thousand Oaks, Calif. by playing both CSU Bakersfield and Azusa Pacific. It was the first two of six games the Wildcats will play this weekend. In the first game of the day Villanova lost to CSU Bakersfield 11-5 and beat Azusa Pacific 14-12.
Women's Lacrosse Takes on Bucknell in Home Opener
The Villanova women's lacrosse team (0-2) will host their first home game of the 2015 season as they host the Bucknell Bison (2-2) at 3:30 in the Villanova Stadium. Head Coach Julie Young and her team will take to the field following the Villanova men's lacrosse match against Delaware which will begin at noon.
