Villanova and IMG College announced an extension of the agreement making J.D. McGillicuddy's in Wayne, Pa., the home of the Talking Villanova Football with Andy Talley and Talking Villanova Basketball with Jay Wright radio shows.
Stephanie Schappert Earns NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship
Senior track & field and cross country student-athlete Stephanie Schappert (Delray Beach, Fla.) was recently named a winner of a prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. The award comes with a $7,500 scholarship that can be applied towards pursuing a graduate or other advances degree. Schappert is the 20th student-athlete from Villanova to receive one of the NCAA-sponsored postgraduate scholarships.
Todd Czinege and Adam Goss Earn First Team All-BIG EAST Honors
Sophomore second baseman Todd Czinege (Overland Park, Kan.) and junior left fielder Adam Goss (Bellaire, Texas) were each named first team All-BIG EAST selections in an announcement by the conference office on Tuesday morning. The league revealed its major award winners on all-conference teams in advance of the BIG EAST Championship which begins later this week. Czinege receives All-BIG EAST recognition for the second straight year, while Goss earns all-conference recognition for the first time.
Caroline Coyer Earns Spot on United States Team For Pan-American Games
Villanova University senior guard Caroline Coyer (Oak Hill, Va.) is one of 12 players named to the 2015 USA Basketball Women's Pan American Games roster. Coyer was one of 51 players that took part in three days of trials at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado last weekend. The Pan American games are scheduled for July 16-20 in Toronto, Canada.
Shanice Grant Wins 100 Meter Hurdles Title at ECAC Championship
Junior sprinter Shanice Grant (Kingston, Jamaica) became the latest Villanova athlete to win the ECAC 100 meter hurdles and senior Varonica Johnson (Charlotte, N.C.) recorded a personal best time in the 200 meters at Weaver Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Competition wrapped up at the ECAC Championship and the Wildcats tied for 11th place in the team standings despite having just a small contingent from its roster in competition.
Wildcats Close 150th Season of Baseball with 4-3 Loss to Creighton
In the final game of the 150th season of Villanova baseball, the Wildcats tallied 11 hits but came up just short in a 4-3 loss to Creighton (30-17, 13-4 BIG EAST) at TD Ameritrade Park on Saturday afternoon. Despite the loss, Villanova (22-28, 7-11 BIG EAST) ends the year with a six-game improvement in the win column over last season and created plenty of positive momentum for the program throughout the year.
Ciao Italia! Women's Basketball Set for 10 Day Italian Tour

The Villanova women's basketball team is set to embark on a 10-day trip to Italy where they will play four contests against Italian club teams in preparation for the upcoming 2015-16 season.
Wildcats Edged by Creighton, 4-2, in Second Game of Series
In a game that had runs scored only in the fifth inning, Villanova (22-27, 7-10 BIG EAST) came up on the short end of a 4-2 decision against Creighton (29-17, 12-4 BIG EAST) in the second game of a three-game series on Friday evening. Neither team could gain much traction offensively except for the busy fifth inning.
