Villanova Drops Game One of Conference Series to Georgetown, 7-0
The Villanova Wildcats (9-24, 2-5 BIG EAST) returned to the Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth on Friday afternoon to take on the Georgetown Hoyas (22-19, 1-5 BIG EAST) in BIG EAST conference play. On a beautiful sunny day in Plymouth Meeting, Pa., the Wildcats dropped game one of the series, with a final score of 7-0. Senior Todd Czinege (Overland Park, Kan.) and freshman Tyler Bruno (Breinigsville, Pa.) each has two hits for the Wildcats today.

Men's Lacrosse Travels to Providence for Final Regular Season Game
No. 15 Villanova will play their final regular season game this Saturday, April 29th when they travel to Rhode Island to take on the Providence Friars. Both 3-1 in BIG EAST play both teams qualified for the conference tournament and will face each other again on Thursday, May 4th.
Czinege and Schryver Named Finalists for Senior CLASS Award
Senior second baseman Todd Czinege (Overland Park, Kan.) and senior starting pitcher Hunter Schryver (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) were each selected as one of ten finalists for the 2017 Senior CLASS Award for baseball as announced on Thursday morning. Czinege and Schryver were originally named to the initial list of 30 candidates.
Women's Tennis Cruises Past Providence in First Round of BIG EAST Championships
The Villanova women’s tennis team (10-15) pulled out a huge victory against the Providence Friars (4-13) during the first round of the BIG EAST Tennis Championships. They swept the Friars 4-0 and will now move on to the quarterfinals against the number two seed, DePaul.
