Baseball to Play Doubleheader against Creighton on Saturday Afternoon
Due to the forecast for rain on Sunday, this weekend's three-game series between Villanova and Creighton will conclude with a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon starting at 1 p.m. at the Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth. There will be a break of approximately 30 minutes in between games.
Third Place Finish in Sprint Medley Relay Highlights Friday Action for Villanova Men
In the team's first Championship of America race in the sprint medley relay in nearly 30 years, Villanova came in third with a time of 3:24.31 at the Penn Relays on Friday night. The sprint medley race closed a successful day for the Wildcats, who also registered a fifth place finish in the Championship of America section in the distance medley relay.

The Villanova softball team (29-15, 11-4 BIG EAST) will head host the third-place Butler Bulldogs this weekend for three crucial BIG EAST match ups.
Wildcats to Play Providence on Senior Day Saturday at 1 P.M.
Saturday will mark the 8th time in program history these two BIG EAST schools will faceoff. The Wildcats hold the all-time record 4-3 over the Friars. Last season it was Providence who edged out a victory by a final of 7-6.
Froccaro Named Tewaaraton Trophy Nominee
Villanova junior attack Jake Froccaro (Sands Point, N.Y.) has been selected as a nominee for the 2016 Tewaaraton Award, given to the most outstanding player in collegiate lacrosse. Froccaro joins 24 other college lacrosse standouts on the official list of nominees release by The Tewaaraton Foundations on Friday, April 29th.

There is no one way to define the incredible legacy of the Villanova track & field programs, but as good a place as any to start is the Wildcats unrivaled history at the Penn Relays. It is Penn Relays week at long last, and the 122nd running of the world's most historic track meet will add another chapter to Villanova's long-standing tradition at Franklin Field. One of the many things to look forward to this year is the induction of the Wildcats 1966 distance medley relay team to the Penn Relays Wall of Fame on the 50th anniversary of their historic win.
Shanice Grant Advances to Championship Heat of 100 Meter Hurdles at Penn Relays
Senior sprinter Shanice Grant (Kingston, Jamaica) and junior thrower Caroline Hamilton (Nottingham, Pa.) had two of the stronger individual performances for Villanova during competition at the Penn Relays on Friday afternoon. Grant advanced to the championship in the 100 meter hurdles and Hamilton finished fourth in her section of the javelin. Earlier in the day at Franklin Field, the Wildcats made headlines by winning the Championship of America race in the 4x1500 meter relay.
