Villanova Falls to Oklahoma 9-2 in Day One of 19 Ways Invitational
Senior starting pitcher Hunter Schryver (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) delivers another strong performance for the Wildcats (0-4) against Oklahoma (5-1) despite the 9-2 loss at L. Dale Mitchell Park in Norman, Okla. Schryver pitched five complete innings, giving up three runs on five hits and striking out three. Junior David Gulati (Collegeville, Pa.) and freshman Tyler Bruno (Breinigsville, Pa.) each hit a double down the right field line. Gulati’s double was the only RBI of the game.
Men's Lacrosse to Host No. 9 Penn State Saturday
Saturday will mark the 23rd contest between Penn State and Villanova. The Nittany Lion’s hold the all-time record at 16-6, but under head coach Michael Corrado the Wildcats hold a 5-3 record.

The six Villanova incoming freshmen announced today are forward Vince Manzo (Washington,, Mich.); midfielder Theo Quartey (Accra, Ghana); midfielder and defender Samual Rogers (Seattle, Wash.); back and midfielder Richie Schlentz (West Chester, Pa.),midfielder and defender Max Zandi (West Chester, Pa.), and goalkeeper Carson Williams (Plano, Texas).
School Records Fall On First Day Of BIG EAST Championships
The Villanova swimming and diving program opened the BIG EAST Championships by setting four school records in the men’s and women’s 800-yard freestyle and 200-yard medley relay events.
