Wildcats Lose Tough Battle in Overtime, 3-2
The Villanova Field Hockey Team (4-12, 1-5 BIG EAST) traveled to Norfolk, Va. to take on the Old Dominion Monarchs (7-8, 3-3 BIG EAST) on Saturday afternoon. After a tough battle that went into overtime, Villanova fell short to the Monarchs, 3-2.
Villanova Improves in Second Round at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate.
The Villanova men’s golf team completed the second round of the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate. The Wildcats were nine strokes better on day two, finishing with a score of 307 (+19). Villanova has rounds of 316-307 = 623 (+47) heading into the final day of the tournament.
Swimming and Diving Hosts First Home Meet of the Year
The Villanova swimming and diving teams hosted their first meet of the year during Homecoming Weekend. The women’s team picked up two victories on the day, defeating La Salle (245-53) and Drexel (177.5-122.5). The men’s team fell to La Salle (181-118) and Drexel (200.5-99.5).
Unveiling of The Arege Family Record Board Set For Saturday
Before Saturday’s home meet, the Villanova swimming and diving program will unveil “The Arege Family Record Board”. A generous donation by former Villanova swimmer Geraldine Arege ’90 and her family made the new record board possible.
Andy Butler Leads Wildcats on First Day in Georgia
The Villanova men’s golf team finished the first round of the Golf Club of Georgia Club with a score of 316 (+28). The Wildcats are playing in a very competitive field at the tournament, as 14 teams rank in the top 35 of the nation according to Golfstat.
2016 NCAA Title Banner to be Unveiled at Wells Fargo Center
Banners honoring Villanova's 1985 and 2016 NCAA Championships will be unveiled on Saturday, Nov. 5 prior to the Wildcats' exhibition game against Indiana U. (Pa.). Admission is free.
Marquette Tallies 2-0 Win over Wildcats on Thursday Afternoon
Villanova will travel to Queens, New York to play their final road game of the season as they take on St. John’s. Kickoff on Sunday is set for 1:00 p.m. and will be broadcasted on the BEDN.
Strong Effort Lifts Wildcats Past Penn 4-0
Villanova returned home for the first time in nearly three weeks and quickly made itself at home Wednesday, scoring a 4-0 victory over Penn at the Higgins Soccer Complex.
