Penn Relays: Men’s 4x800 Meter Relay Finishes Fourth
In the team’s final race of the weekend, Villanova finished fourth in the men’s Championship of America 4x800 meter relay at Franklin Field on Saturday afternoon. Redshirt freshman Logan Wetzel (Saline, Mich.), sophomore Harry Purcell (Dublin, Ireland), junior Ishmael Muhammad (Mays Landing, N.J.) and sophomore Ville Lampinen (Vantaa, Finland) registered a time of 7:21.18 in a race packed with some of the nation’s top teams.

After the first day of the BIG EAST Men’s Golf Championship Presented by Jeep, Villanova is in eighth place with a team score of 322 (+34). The tournament is taking place at the par-72 Callawassie Island Golf Club.

Schryver Dominates to Shut Out Georgetown in 4-0 Win
Southpaw Hunter Schryver (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) was dominate on the mound for the Wildcats (10-24, 3-5 BIG EAST) at the Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth as he helped lead his team to a 4-0 victory over the Georgetown Hoyas (22-20, 1-7) on Saturday afternoon. Schryver now holds the sole possession of second place in Villanova baseball history with 232 career strikeouts. He also moved into seventh place in career innings pitched with 257.2 innings throughout his career so far.
Tanoh Kpassagnon Selected In Second Round By The Kansas City Chiefs
Villanova University defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon (6-7, 295 lbs.) was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Kpassagnon was the 59th overall pick.

Villanova won the Championship of America title in the women's 4x1500 meter relay at the Penn Relays on Friday afternoon, racking up their 11th championship in the past six years at the world's most historic track meet. This is the 39th title all-time for the Wildcats in a women's Championship of America race, and the victory also set a new individual record as senior Angel Piccirillo (Homer City, Pa.) became the first collegiate women's runner to win eight career Penn Relays watches.

The Villanova men’s tennis team (14-10) competed in a drawback match against St. Johns (11-15) today at the BIG EAST Tennis Championships in Cayce, S.C. Unfortunately, the Wildcats lost 4-2 to conclude their season.
Villanova Sweeps Saturday Doubleheader Against DePaul
The Villanova softball team (31-17, 11-6 BIG EAST) was victorious in two games against DePaul (24-20, 9-6 BIG EAST) on Saturday at the Villanova Softball Complex. With the wins, Villanova will defeat DePaul in a series for the first time in program history.
