Darby Goodwin and Jake Hoin were named the BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week, which were announced in the conference’s press release on Monday.
Villanova Field Hockey Adds Six to the Class of 2021
Villanova field hockey head coach Joanie Milhous has announced the addition of six new members to their program. The Class of 2021 has signed their National Letter of Intent to play field hockey for Villanova.
Wildcats Host Lehigh Monday Night
Lehigh is the only Patriot League Conference member on Villanova’s 2016-17 schedule. In the history of the program, Villanova owns a 23-7 all-time record versus teams that currently make-up the Patriot League. The 23-7 includes 7-1 vs. Lehigh; 5-1 vs. Lafayette; 2-2 vs. Holy Cross, 2-0 versus American, Bucknell and Navy and 3-3 against Loyola (Md).
Women's Track & Field Wins Nine Events at Jack Pyrah Invitational
Villanova started the 2016-17 indoor track & field season on a strong note with eight individual victories at the Jack Pyrah Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Junior jumper Courtney Caldwell (Trenton, N.J.) recorded a new personal best in winning the triple jump and the Wildcats also claimed first place finishes in the long jump, three sprint events and three distance races. Villanova also tallied a win in the 4x400 meter relay in Saturday's home meet at Alumni Gym on the Haverford campus.
Seniors Help Wildcats Pull Away From Saint Joseph's 88-57
Josh Hart recorded his first career triple-double (16 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists) to help lead Villanova past Saint Joseph's 88-57 on Saturday at the Pavilion.

Men's Track & Field Starts Strong at Jack Pyrah Invitational
Sophomore thrower Henry Sise (Hawthorn Woods, Ill.) finished first in the shot put and Villanova registered a total of nine top-three finishes at the Jack Pyrah Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The first meet of the 2016-17 indoor season was a good one for the Wildcats, who had athletes competing in eight different at Alumni Gym on the Haverford campus. Villanova hosted the first of three home meets this season and had seven different athletes make their official collegiate debuts during the competition.
