No. 3 Villanova Defeats No. 11 Providence On The Road, 72-60
Darryl Reynolds had 19 points and 10 rebounds and third-ranked Villanova held off a late rally to defeat No. 11 Providence 72-60 on Saturday. The win avenges Villanova's overtime loss at home to the Friars last month, its lone Big East loss this season. Ryan Arcidiacono added 16 points to help the Wildcats (20-3, 10-1) earn their 12th victory in 13 games. Villanova led by as many as 17 in the second half before seeing its lead cut all the way to four with 2:59 to play on a 3-pointer by Ben Bentil.

In women's basketball action on Friday afternoon, the Villanova Wildcats fell to the DePaul Blue Demons by a score of 75-47. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 14-9 overall and 7-5 in Big East play, while DePaul improves to 18-7 overall and 10-2 in league action.

Football Team Signs 17 Players to National Letters of Intent
On the first day of the early signing period, Villanova head coach Andy Talley announced his 2016 recruiting class with the signing of 17 scholastic athletes to National Letters of Intent. All 17 players are expected to enroll at Villanova for the 2016 fall semester and be a part of the Wildcats 2016 squad. The signing class features 11 offensive players and six defensive players.
