The 2015-16 NCAA National Champion Villanova Wildcats are to receive a Pride of Philly award at the 2016 Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Nov. 3.

On a rainy Friday afternoon, the Wildcats (2-9) fell to the Quinnipiac Bobcats (2-8) in a BIG EAST conference match-up. The game began with very even play from both teams.

Women’s Soccer To Play Creighton Sunday Afternoon
Freshmen Kristin Barabour and Ida DiClemente have led the Villanova offense this season. Barbour has a team high nine points on four goals and one assist while DiClemente has scored three goals and added an assist for seven points. Junior Amanda Volecka leads the team with three assists while Kayla Hughes and Mandi Wilson each have two assists this season.
Field Hockey Hosts Two Home Games This Weekend
The Villanova Field Hockey Team (2-8 overall, 0-2 BIG EAST) hosts two home games this weekend. The first game is scheduled for Friday September 30th against Quinnipiac (1-8 overall, 1-1 BIG EAST), a BIG EAST opponent. On Sunday October 2nd, they will play a non-conference game against Long Island University (0-7 overall).
Wildcats Ready to Face DePaul, Marquette in Midwest Showdowns
After getting back on track with a four-set win against St. John’s on Tuesday night, the Villanova Wildcats (11-5, 2-1 BIG EAST) will travel to face the DePaul Blue Demons and the Marquette Golden Eagles this weekend in BIG EAST Conference play.
PK Goal Lifts Villanova Past Princeton 1-0
Junior Lucas Hodges was fouled inside the Princeton 18-yard box with 1:41 to play in overtime and that helped set up Zach Zandi for a game-winning penalty kick Wednesday.

Freshman forward Abby Siana was named Rookie of the Week as announced by Philafieldhockey.com. Siana has started all ten games for the Wildcats this season. As a freshman, Siana is currently third on the team with seven points. She has scored three goals and recorded one assist.
