Softball Finalizes Spring 2015 Schedule

Wildcats Head to No. 13 Richmond For Televised Game on Saturday Afternoon
For the second time in three weeks and the third time this season, No. 4 Villanova (7-1, 4-0 CAA Football) will form one half of a matchup between two nationally ranked teams. In a televised game this Saturday afternoon, the Wildcats take on No. 13 Richmond (6-2, 3-1 CAA) at E. Claiborne Robins Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for Noon. This is the first time in five years that Villanova will pay a visit to the Spiders, and the game will mark just the second meeting overall in the past four seasons between the longtime conference rivals.

The Villanova field hockey team (4-14, 1-4 BIG EAST) fell in a non-conference, neutral site matchup to the Quinnipiac Bobcats (8-10, 3-2 MAAC) by the final of 4-2 from Vonnie Gros Field in West Chester, Pa on Saturday afternoon.
Wildcats Fall at No. 9 Xavier 3-0
Xavier has been one of the BIG EAST's hottest teams over the last five weeks and it grabbed a 1-0 lead over Villanova in the sixth minute. The Wildcats pushed to draw even but were unable to do so.
