Only three runners in BIG EAST history have won as many as three individual conference titles in cross country, and all have worn a Villanova singlet. Narrowing down the list even further, Wildcats senior Patrick Tiernan (Toowoomba, Australia) is the only men's runner in the league's storied history who has won three BIG EAST cross country titles. He has been the conference champion each of the past three seasons, and was preceded in achieving that feat only by Villanova women's stars Vicki Huber (1986, 1987, 1989) and Sheila Reid (2009, 2010, 2011).
