    Behind a perfect game from senior Brette Lawrence (Sparks, Nev./Spanish Springs), the Villanova softball team (29-15, 9-6 BIG EAST) defeated St. John's (24-15, 11-4) in six innings on Sunday afternoon by a final score of 8-0 in the series finale. With the win, Villanova took the series 2-1.

    Curran netted eight goals and one assist, tying Jake Froccaro’s school record of the most goals scored in a single game. When he netted his final goal not only did he tie Froccaro but he set a new single season goal scoring record. The previous record of 41 was set in 1991 by Chris Sullivan.
